Alabama, named as “The Heart of Dixie” is popularly known for its heritage as a southern state key. Today the state consists of an exciting mix of old and new. From traditional agricultural events to high-tech stuff, there is definitely something new for everyone.

Birmingham, Alabama is also known as the center of the civil rights struggle in the 1950s and 1960s; today, the greatest attraction is the the whole city itself which lands the most popular Alabama Gulf Coast beaches across the state. There are several more tourist spots in Alabama. Most of them are still very well preserved.

The city provides a truly new experience to its locals and visitors. The skylight, is very popular to the public which is 200 feet long, and is said to be the longest in the world; basically, it pulls visitors from the neighboring states of Tennessee, Florida, Mississippi in hoards, and Georgia cementing its position as one of the best places to simply enjoy in the far South, if not the country.

Alabama is conveniently located in the southern state of the United States that is full of history and art. There are popularly known stopovers for tourists visiting this wonderful city. They offer deep sea adventure activities like fishing. Experience adventure hiking on wild trails together with the shorebirds. It is truly the perfect getaway for you and your family.

Shopping and sight seeing are not the only things you can enjoy in Birmingham Alabama. Tourists can dine at one of the Birminghams many restaurants and eateries. These include: Auntie Anne’s pretzels, California Pizza Kitchen, and Godiva Choclatier, as well as a variety of restaurants at the nearby cities. Additionally, the architecture of the city is indeed a wonder, with warm people and lovely environment.

With numerous numbers of exciting activities and events in which to participate, a fulfilling trip around the city can be very pleasing. A visit to other nearby Alabama attractions like the Botanical Gardens, Birmingham Zoo and the Museum of Art which contains an outstanding collection of over 21,000 works of art.

Alabama is the perfect place to visit for people who loves nature and history. Make sure to plan your visit ahead of time to see most of the attractions it has to offer.
